Important GSL Expansion Information
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers released a public notice inviting interested parties to attend public information meetings on the proposed Great Salt Lake Minerals Corporation's 75,000 acre expansion of their solar evaporation ponds on the Great Salt Lake.
The Corps is conducting public scoping meetings for the public to view displays, meet project representatives, ask questions, learn about the proposed project and submit written and verbal comments. The Corps will be preparing an Environmental Impact Study on the project.
This is a perfect opportunity to understand what this expansion means to the Great Salt Lake Ecosystem and to help shape the preparation of the EIS.
